Diet Approves 8.49B Budget for FY2010
Based on the recommendations made by the Government Revitalization Unit, the administration had been considering the SPring-8 budget. Following the considerations, the Cabinet adopted the draft budget for FY2010 on December 25, 2009 and the budget was approved by the Diet on March 24, 2010.
As a result, 8.49 billion JPY, 170 million JPY down from the previous year, has been appropriated specifically for the facility operation and maintenance, and the user selection and support services.
To accommodate our users' needs to the maximum extent possible, we will continue our efforts for more efficient operation of the facility with a view to ensure the same level of operation hours as currently exist. As part of our efforts, we will promote the restructuring of the beamtime fee program and will make revisions as appropriate.
