Japan Synchrotron Research Institute (JASRI/SPring-8) is currently seeking candidates to fill postdoctoral positions.

1. Seeking
A few postdoctoral researchers at Research & Utilization Division

2.Research Area and Work Contents
Japan Synchrotron Research Institute (JASRI) is seeking for postdoctoral researchers who will work at the public beamlines in SPring-8 (see http://www.spring8.or.jp/en/facilities/bl/ for details of the beamlines). JASRI is supporting user researches to develop new fields in application of synchrotron radiation, such as materials sciences, spectroscopy, structural biology, nano-technology, and so on, by making use of the short-pulse and the microbeam that are characteristic to the third-generation synchrotron radiation. The work involves (1) development of science and technology that will lead to a wider use of SPring-8 by promoting cutting-edge researches, (2) smooth operation of the public beamlines and support of user experiments. Experience in a synchrotron radiation experiment is desirable but all applicants who are willing to work with our research staff to pursue the above purposes will be welcome.

 * Contact to 10 for further information on the work, and contact to 9 about the procedure of application.

3. Necessary Conditions
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent or outweighed abilities of Ph.D. and also have energy toward applied Synchrotron Radiation Research.
