Beamline Handbook
About SPring-8 Beamline Handbook
SPring-8 issued the first edition of the SPring-8 beamline handbook in October 1996 before SPring-8 was opened to public use of October 1997. In the handbook, technical information of light sources, beamline optics, and instrumentation at experimental stations were presented for users. It also included the information on the measurement preparation laboratory and the sample preparation laboratory of experimental stations.
After SPring-8 was opened to public use, the second edition in March 2001 and the third edition in March 2004 were issued to update information for existing beamlines and newly constructed beamlines. The handbook covers almost all beamlines including public beamlines, JAERI beamlines, RIKEN beamlines, R&D beamlines, contract beamlines, and accelerator beamlines. Technical information of 46 beamlines is presented in the third edition including typical experimental results.
