Overview of Research Group, Goals and Purposes:

The greatest merits of utilizing synchrotron radiation in crystal chemistry research is obtaining static and dynamic 3D-structures and electron distribution of molecule and molecular aggregate in crystal with high accuracy and high resolution by using X-ray diffraction method. The ecrystal chemistry research groupf aims to promote advanced research, development of measurement and analysis methods, and promotion of synchrotron radiation experiments as a basis of chemical research especially as following subjects:

  1. Crystal and local structure dynamics, and high accurate analysis under stimuli
  2. Structure analysis of soft-materials
  3. Structure analysis of crystalline organic-films
  4. Direct observation of crystal and molecular structures and electronic state at excited, transient, and metastable states
  5. Electron density distribution analysis
  6. Accurate structure analysis of micron-size single crystal diffraction techniques
  7. Structure analysis of molecular crystals by power diffraction techniques
