Title: XANES/EXAFS analysis of heterogeneous catalyst samples

Abstract:
X-ray absorption spectroscopy is one of the most powerful characterization techniques for solid catalysts. Chemical species in most catalyst samples are heterogeneous. Because of narrow analysis ranges of EXAFS spectra due to low concentration of a target element and/or existence of other absorption edges, arbitrary property for obtained EXAFS parameters should be strictly evaluated. In the present seminar, examples of XANES/EXAFS analysis of catalyst samples, and the points to consideration would be presented.
