ABSTRACT

Hyogo-prefectural beamline BL08B2 is a hard X-ray beamline with employing a bending magnet. This beamline is designed for conducting various experiments mainly for industrial purposes. The main experimental equipments are focused on XAFS, X-ray diffraction, imaging, X-ray topography, and small-angle X-ray scattering. The beamline consists of an optics hutch and two experimental hutches. The double-crystal monochromator and mirrors are located in the optics hutch. The first experimental hutch called “experimental hutch 1” is 8 m long, 3 m wide, and 4.3 m high being located at 50 m away from a beam source. The second experimental hutch called “experimental hutch 2” is 13 m long, 3.8 m wide, and 4.3 m high being located at 62 m. In the second hutch, a large space is reserved for providing a long sample-to-detector distance.
