BL11XU Resonant inelastic X-ray scattering experiments

Inquiry number

INS-0000000362

Resonant inelastic x-ray scattering and x-ray emission spectroscopy of photon energy 6-12 keV are available in the experimental hutch 2. Typical energy resolution is 0.1-1 eV. The spectrometer consists of a high-resolution monochromator, a focusing mirror, a sample stage, and an energy-analyzer operating in the horizontal scattering plane. It is suitable for studying electronic excitations in strongly correlated electron systems and electronic states of functional materials, such as catalysts and electrodes, under operando conditions.

  • Resonant inelastic X-ray scattering spectroscopy station
  • Spherical analyzer
  • Closed-cycle He refrigerator (10-800K)
