BL14B1 Energy-dispersive X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy
Inquiry number
INS-0000001623
White X-rays are converted to dispersive X-rays with a band energy of about 1000 eV width by a polychromator. The dispersed X-rays are once focused at the sample position and then re-dispersed and collected by a two-dimensional detector. We can observe X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) spectroscopy without any mechanical motions. Some control systems such as gas flow controllers, switching valves, potentiostats, and injectors are available with setting in situ condition.
