Body text
Crystal structure analysis of Co3.6Fe3.6(VO4)6 is carried out by synchrotron X-ray and TOF neutron powder diffraction. Since it is very difficult to distinguish Co and Fe atoms by X-ray, TOF neutron diffraction data is also used for analysis. The crystal structure and distribution of Fe and Co atoms to the crystal site is revealed.

Technique
Coupling of synchrotron radiation and neutron powder diffraction method becomes very useful for detailed crystal structure analysis. X-ray diffraction cannot distinguish atoms which have close atomic numbers, but by using neutron diffraction, the distribution of these atoms can be analyzed.
