Priority Industrial Application Program Review Committee

JASRI established a review committee to evaluate "Priority Industrial Application Program" which was started in 2007 to strategically promote industrial applications. The committee reviewed the research activities, utilization systems, and beamline facilities.

Priority Nanotechnology Support Program Review Committee

To support nanotechnology researchers, the Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute (JASRI) started the "Priority Nanotechnology Support Program" from 2007 as a priority project of strategic significance that is expected to produce many innovative results in the next 5-10 years. To evaluate the activity for two years and improve the program, JASRI organized Review Committee and held the review meeting on March 12, 2009 at the SPring-8.

Medical Biology Trail Use Review Committee

JASRI established a review committee to evaluate "Medical Biology Trail Use" which was started in 2006 to enhance the contribution of SR to medical bio research and the use of SR by new users.
The committee reviewed the research activities and the user support system.

SPring-8 Academic Review Committee (SPARC)

RIKEN & JASRI established SPring-8 Academic Review Committee (SPARC) to evaluate the academic outputs of SPring-8 from an international perspective.

JASRI International Advisory Council (JIAC)

In its recommendations of 2004, Council for Science and Technology in Cabinet Office, Government of Japan advised that JASRI should organize an international advisory council and should respect their recommendations, with which JASRI could improve the transparency and efficiency in the SPring-8 management system to ensure the scientific and technological productivities at the facility for full-fledged exploitation.
In order to appropriately respond to the recommendation given by the Council, JASRI established JASRI International Advisory Council (JIAC).

SPring-8 Beamline Review Committee

In order to develop high research activity of the whole beamlines about public beamlines of SPring-8, JASRI had carried out outside estimation of all public beamlines for five years until 2006 about performances of the individual beamline such as development status of upgrading, research activities, joint use support and future plans.

Report on the Interim Review of SPring-8 by MEXT

It is decided to perform Interim Review as an aim regularly in three years about research and development policy by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-JAPAN. 
In SPring-8, the first Interim Review was carried out in September 2002, and the second Interim Review was carried out afterwards in July 2007.
