Subtitle/Subject Structural Proteomics of Mammalian P450
Period to Apr 19 , 2004
Venue Kamitsubo Hall
Host/Organizer JASRI/SPring-8
Format Lecture
Fields Life Science
Abstract

Date&Time: 13:00-13:40, 19 April 2004

Speaker: Dr. Duncan McRee
Affiliation: President Active Sight and Adjunct Professor, the Scripps Research Institute

Abstract
While high throughput structural proteomics studies of bacterial proteins has proven to be possible, mammaliantargets have proven a lot more difficult for several reasons. The talk will present an example using P450 and show how we use the methods of high throughput structural proteomics to make many simultaneous attempts on a target to speed up the process of determining the structures of difficult protein targets.
