CMOS flatpanel detector is a large-area image sensor with a frame rate higher than 2 per second. The pixel size is 50 micron square. An image as large as 12cm square (optionally 18x24 cm) can be obtained. The sensitivity is high for both low and high energy x-rays. This detector is suitable for real-time imaging of relatively large object.
