Bending Magnet

The magnetic field of the bending magnet (BM) in SPring-8  is 0.679T, which corresponds to a bending radius of 39.3 m and critical energy of 28.9 keV. In one cell of the storage ring, two BMs are installed. The beamlines that utilize the BM as a light source are called. Several cells do not have the B2 beamline. The beam sizes of the electron beam in the two BM beamlines (B1, B2) have similar values: 150μm and 10μm in the horizontal and vertical directions.
