October 25, 2005: The names of JAEA Contract Beamlines were changed.

  • BL11XU: JAEA Quantum Dynamics (former Materials Science II)
  • BL14B1: JAEA Materials Science (former Materials Science I)
  • BL22XU: JAEA Quantum Structural Science (former Actinide Science II)
  • BL23SU: JAEA Actinide Science (former Actinide Science I)

October 1, 2005: JAERI beamlines were categorized as contract beamlines.

September 22, 2005: RIKEN Coherent Soft X-ray Spectroscopy, BL17SU, became available.

September 1, 2005: Hyogo BM, BL08B2, became available.

May 1, 2005: The three beamline names were changed.

  • BL47XU: HXPES·MCT
  • BL46XU: R&D
  • BL38B1: Structural Biology III

April 1, 2004: A contract beamline, BL08B2 Hyogo BM, was added to the beamline map.

  • The beamline name of BL24XU was changed from "Hyogo" to "Hyogo ID". The total number of SPring-8's beamlines is 48.

March 11, 2004: The Accelerator Beam Diagnosis Line BL05SS became operational and forty-six beamlines are in operation.

August 5, 2003: The names of Taiwan Beamlines were changed.
